The Summer Reading Program at our library has officially begun at our library. The theme this year is "Imagine Your Story." This means fairy tales and folk tales, dragons and unicorns and princesses. Today to celebrate, I've made a fun recipe for Fairy Play Dough. IMPORTANT: This is NOT edible so please supervise young children when making and playing with the fairy dough.
Ingredients:
1 cup of hair conditioner
2 cups of cornstarch
Food coloring
Glitter (optional)
Stir and kneed the conditioner and cornstarch together to create a play dough like texture. If it is too crumbly add more conditioner and if it is too wet add more cornstarch.
Kneed in a few drops of food coloring and glitter until you have your desired coloring.
Store in Ziploc bag to keep for later play.
