The reader learns the backstory of the Queen’s handmaidens and how they were selected to protect the Queen, and the rigorous training they go through together to become her bodyguards. The Queen is in danger from the moment she takes the throne, and she and her handmaidens must learn to work together in order to defend Naboo. Padme Amidala’s story of becoming Queen of Naboo is an amazing story for anyone who loves Star Wars!
