The Unhoneymooners by Christina Lauren

Identical twins Olive and Ami are only similar when it comes to looks. These two young women are as different as can be especially when it comes to luck. Ami is known for winning every drawing, contest or sweepstakes she enters. When preparing for her wedding, she wins her wedding dress, the bridesmaids dresses, the DJ and even the caterer. But most important of all, she wins a luxury honeymoon to Maui, Hawaii. Olive, who is also her maid of honor, believes she is the unluckiest person on earth. From losing her job, having horrible luck with guys and having every fun trip end in disaster, Olive wishes she could have just a sliver of Ami's luck. When food poisoning abruptly ends Ami's wedding night, she offers the trip of a lifetime to Olive who is one of two people who did not eat the bad shellfish. For a brief moment Olive believes her luck might be turning around until she hears that she will be sharing the trip with her new brother-in-law and sworn enemy, Ethan. Unable to get along for more than a minute at a time, neither person is thrilled to be going on a fake honeymoon with the other. If this isn't hard enough, the two have to lie to the staff and pretend to be their newly wedded siblings. Things get even more complicated when Olive's new boss so happens to be spending his anniversary at the same resort and Ethan's recent ex-girlfriend is vacationing with her new boyfriend. With all this pretending, Olive thought she would be miserable but strangely, she is starting to feel differently about the handsome man who she thought hated her.

This book is a delightful romance/comedy with laugh out loud moments and exciting Hawaii adventures. The two main characters are lovable individuals with astounding chemistry and interesting stories. Perfectly paced, the plot easily holds the reader's interest without skipping over any valuable details. I especially enjoyed the witty dialogue between the two main characters. This summer read is perfect while enjoying the summer sun with a cool glass of lemonade.
