The Bromance Book Club by Lyssa Kay Adams

Gavin Scott, a baseball player for the Nashville Legends, is living his best life. He has an amazing wife, two beautiful twin daughters and a career that's flourishing and growing with dedicated fans by the week. But things take a turn for the worse when his wife of three years asks for a divorce and he ends up sleeping in a hotel. His friends and fellow leaguers decide to step in and help him patch up his marriage by inviting him to join their secret club. Initially Gavin is uncertain, but when he founds out it is a romance book club, he thinks the men are pulling a prank on him. He soon learns the club is made up of married men who read romance novels to better understand their wives and have a happier marriage. They give him his first romance book to read, Courting the Countess, and begin guiding him on how to save his relationship with his wife.

The Bromance Club is a lighthearted and hilarious romance novel that describes the importance of vulnerability and communication in a relationship. I personally found the conversations between the men about the things their wives loved (i.e. washi tape and Pinterest) to be very entertaining and amusing. The book is definitely for an adult audience as the book club members use an abundance of strong language and the author describes a couple of steamy scenes in detail. I would recommend it to avid romance readers who enjoy lots of comedy. This book is available to reserve through PINES.
