And the People Stayed Home Written by Kitty O'meara

WGLibrary

2020 was a year that many will never forget. It was a year of learning, of growth, of heartbreak, and of sickness. Many people used their time at home to create new things and these creations helped people connect with others all across the globe who were experiencing the same situations and emotions. Kitty O'Meara wrote this poem during the pandemic and quickly joined with two artists to create a wonderful children's book. This short picture book is full of hope and encouragement, reminding young readers and listeners alike that they are not alone and that good things still happen even in the scariest of situations. This sweet picture book is available in the Azalea Regional Library System.
